Besides fun events and tournaments, Monopoly GO also has a special mini-game called Treasure Dig. This game lets you find hidden treasures and win exciting prizes. Like other events, Treasure Dig has a special theme and only lasts for a few days.

The game is simple—you tap on a grid to dig up treasures. To dig, you need special tools called pickaxes. If you clear all the treasure spots, you win a lot of cool rewards. Since this event gives such great prizes, many players wonder when the next one will start.

When is the Next Monopoly GO Treasure Dig Event?

The next Treasure Dig event will run from January 31st, 2025, to February 4th, 2025. This event is called Tundra Treasures.

How the Monopoly GO Treasure Dig Event Works

The rules for Treasure Dig stay mostly the same, but each event has a different theme and different rewards.

When the event starts, you will see a special game screen with hidden treasures. Using a pickaxe, you can tap on squares to dig and find the buried items. Each level has a goal—you must find a certain number of treasures to move on. The more you dig, the better the rewards you get!

One important thing to remember: the treasures are in different spots for every player. So, even if you look at guides showing where others found their treasures, your digging spots may not be the same.

How to Get Pickaxes for Treasure Dig

To play the Treasure Dig event, you need pickaxes to dig up treasures. You can get pickaxes from:

• Quick Wins rewards
• Top banner events
• Tournaments
• Free gifts in the Shop
• Level rewards from the digging event

When the event is over, any leftover pickaxes will turn into dice rolls. Each pickaxe will give you three dice rolls. So, if you have extra pickaxes, they won’t go to waste! Instead, you can use them to roll and keep playing the main game.
